Sided Pads Part IThe second of the three quests for sided shoulderpad's, for those of you who have already own Clan Shoulderpad's for the Suspicious or Pad's of Interest this is how you get your first upgrade Here is a list of NPC's you will speak to throughout the quest
Here are a list of items you will need for the quest
Once you are ready to upgrade your shoulderpad's head back to your agent, hand him the Card he gave you last time and he will give you a new mission. This time he wants you to go and find the leader of the robots and his immediate followers, so you can't complete any of the mission before visiting Dodga/Alvin as with part one Once you receive the mission you now have seven days to complete it, if you cannot complete it within this time it will close and you will need to do part one again before you can have another go, so make sure you are ready before accepting it. As well as the mission you will receive a Decoder and a stack of 100 transmission bugs, these are both needed to complete the quest so keep them safe As you find each robot you will first need to target it, your mission will now complete and a new one will appear asking you to place a bug, pick up the stack of bugs and right click on the robot. Your mission will now complete again and a new find person mission will appear, ready for you to target the next robot. You can now use the Decoder on that robot to find the name and location of the next one, be patient as it can take a while before the information is obtained. The robots must be found and bugged in the correct order, so you will need to travel back and forth across Rubi-Ka quite a lot We are now ready to go find and bug each of the robots, the first is the robot leader Trash King, he can be found at a junkyard, west of West Athen city. This will be the most difficult part of the quest as he is very much a wanted robot, and not likely to be there when you arrive. He has a 20% chance of spawning every 20 minutes, so be prepared to wait a while for him to arrive. Once he does he will must likely be camped by others doing the third quest and needing to kill him, so get over to him quick and do your bit, or ask nicely for the others to wait a second or two Now we need to move on and find the eight lacky's, these all spawn after 20 minutes, so if not there it shouldn't be too long a wait. They all look the same so once you have seen the first you will know what to look for. Each lacky you tag also rewards you with a bravery token worth one token The first lacky is easiest as he stands right next to Trash King, so just turn round and get him at the same time, as long as he is there Next up is Electro Unique in Wailing Wastes, head west and slightly north from the whom-pa to Boka crater, it's marked on the world map. In the centre of the crater you will find some tents and the lacky is usually near these, if not then he may have gone for a wander southwards Nuts & Bolts is the next lacky, he can be found in Wartorn Valley, just east of Old Athen, look for him on the east side of the ruins. He doesn't move around too much but can be a little awkward to find at times Next to find is Greasy Joints, he is in the desert not too far north of the lake just outside Newland City. Head up the slope from the waters edge, across the two dips and he should be just there where the ground becomes flat again Live Metal is next, head out of the west gate of Tir then north until you reach Greater Tir County. Once there bot mountain is to your north west, the lacky can be found on the western edge near to a mushroom-shaped rock Now we need to head into Omni territory, Best in Brass can be found just outside Rome Blue in Galway. Follow the road east a little way and look south, you should see him standing on the grass Back to friendlier parts for Metalomania, head from the grid at Harry's Trading post and follow the road southwest towards town, as the road curves south keep going southwest, the lacky can be found on a little side street across the grass Galvano is the last one on the list, he can be found in Greater Omni Forest circling a small mountain. It is marked as a mine on the map and just southwest of the Mystic swamp circle That's it, all done. Just return to your agent and give him back the decoder to receive some credits and experience, and most important your update syringe for the pads. Use your syringe on the pads you are wearing to update them to level two
Here are the stats for your new shoulderpad's, wear them with pride
You will also receive a new card, Dodga's/Alvin's Card II. Like the first card you will need to keep this one safe to be able to start up your next quest. Lose it and you need to start from the first quest again!
