The mechanical analyzer is and Engineer only device that adds a few points mechanical engineering, useful if you are just short

The first thing to collect is a technoscavenger brain, this can be looted from Technoscavenger. Some good place to find these are; Bot Mountain in Greater Tir County (1650 x 2200), Oasis Acid pool in Newland Desert (2850 x 700) and The Junkyard area in Athen Shire (1600 x 950)
The brains are NoDrop, so you will have to visit the area yourself, but the mobs are quite low level so it shouldn't be too difficult to find one

Once you have one, head over to the local general store and purchase a couple more items. First grab yourself a screwdriver if you don't already own one, and the other item needed is a Bio Analyzing Computer. This part controls the final product quality up to a maximum of QL 40, so it's best to grab a QL 40 or slightly higher

Now you have all the pieces it's time to do some alterations, first take the brain apart with the screwdriver
