Jewellery Creation
Making jewellery can be a fun tradeskill designed to make some
more worth out of the basic metals and gems that you will collect on your travels
Here are a list of items you will need for the tradeskill

To start you will need metal, it will be found as either ingots
or as objects such as bracers and rings that will be refined into ingots. These
can be looted from Rubi-Ka mobs and mission chests in various forms, you will
have most likely picked up some already. Be aware that only Rubi-Ka ingots will
work, shadowlands ingots are no good
The objects listed below are some of the items that can be refined
into ingots, they come in three different types, silver, gold and the most expensive
platinum. Platinum can only be found in it's ingot form, no object known can
be refined into it

The next main item required is a gem, most gems found on looted
from rubi-ka mobs and mission chests will be fine for this. Be careful as not
all gems are worth the same amounts, in fact some, such as the Rubi-Ka Ruby
are so common that they are nearly worthless. Another point to note is that
both quality 190+ Soul Fragments and quality 200 Cold Stones are used in other
tradeskill processes, and are worth much more to be sold to someone who needs
them for that purpose.
Listed below are a selection of the gems that can be used

Now we need to purchase the three tools required, all of which
can be found inside your nearest general store in the Tools for Electrical and
Mechanical Engineering terminal
They are reusable so you will only need to purchase one for all your jewellery
making, the Jensen Gem Cutter and Precious Metal Reclaimer both come at a standard
quality of 10. The Wire Drawing Machine comes at various qualities and it is
recommended to get a decent quality so it will be useful with even the highest
quality jewellery you may want to make. It is required to be at least 30% the
quality of the Liquid Gold
The bases are next, both can be purchased from the Mechanical
and Electrical Engineering Components terminal. They will be used up in the
process, so you will need one for each piece of jewellery. Both come at a standard
quality of 10 and are quite cheap, grab yourself a Personal Furnace and a Generic
Ring Template
You are now ready to start refining and processing the rings,
start by refining the gems using the Jensen Gem Cutter. This will increase the
value by quite a big amount

The gems can be left now until the end, it is time to make the
rings for them to sit in. Start by refining the basic jewellery with metal reclaimer,
this will make either a small silver or gold ingot. Unless of course you found
the ingot in this form to start with

Once you have the ingot there are a few more steps it needs
to go through, each requires a little more mechanical engineering to complete.
Start by melting it down with a personal furnace

Using platinum rings along with the rarest gems, listed above,
will bring in a better price. Combine this with the fact that the gem used can
be increased in quality by inserting it in a higher quality ring and you can
start to make rings that are worth a very good price when sold.
Don't forget that when selling, you will get a higher value by raising your
computer literacy and by using certain shops.
Listed below is an example showing amounts as they stand at
this time, obviously these could change at any time. The tradeskiller used had
a mechanical engineering of 1000, computer literacy of 1057 and was using an
Omni map terminal
As you will see, the worth of the basic items can be improved considerably
